Spring is here, but so are ticks!

As May brings warmer weather, ticks come out of hibernation looking for hosts to lay their eggs. Ticks can be picked up by pets from their travels in the countryside, parks and even gardens and are highly dangerous parasites.

To help owners protect their pets from tick related diseases, Shotts Vet will be offering free drop in tick and flea checks starting Monday 8th May until 21st May.

Owners will also be given advice and helpful materials to aid them in making an informed decision regarding treatment and prevention of parasites.
