National Microchipping Month takes place in June and aims to educate pet owners about the benefits of microchipping and the importance of keeping contact details up to date.

As a dog owner, you have a legal requirement to ensure that your pet is under control and is properly identified with suitable collar and tag. In some cases, these can become lost, so a microchip is vital as the permanent form of identification which will be in place for life. Although not a legal requirement yet, it is recommended that cat owner microchip their pets as well.
